This two-yearly conference is being held again at Macquarie University this year.  I attended the 2005 and 2007 conferences and found them most enjoyable.  The focus is largely on ancients, but there are "modern" topics covered by the presentations too.  Details of presentations, registration form, etc., available at http://www.naa-online.com/ - click on "Events" for more details.  There's also a link to the accommodation at the Dunmore Lang hostels (part of the university).  I have the name and phone number of the lady who takes the bookings, should anyone want to ring directly.

It's also timed to follow the Noble Numismatics auction in downtown Sydney, so keen participants can make a full week of it!

I've uploaded the registration form with the details of the above conference to my website at

http://homepages.ihug.co.nz/~translate/naa_reg_09.pdf

Please contact the NAA at the address shown on the form if you have any queries - neither I nor the RNSNZ are involved in organising this event (though I will be attending and would like to be able to meet some of our members there!)  This is the third in the series - previous ones were held in 2005 and 2007, and they are cleverly timed to follow the Noble Auction in Sydney, so visitors can make almost a full week of numismatic activity.

Details will be sent to RNSNZ members separately ... probably using the same form :-)

Sounds like something I'd enjoy. Any chance they will put on a web cam? I guess not. Maybe next year.

Think you'd need to attend in person - see you in Sydney in 2011?

Too bad. Sitting in an airplane for 12 hours is not my idea of joy.

You could take a boat, but you would need to set aside six weeks or so.  Nearer to 24 hours in a plane, too, sad to say :-)
