ANY IMAGES ? ???

Dear Friends

I got my Lajpat Rai, Radha Krishnan and Africa Summit recently from Kolkata mint. Got BHEL couple of months back. Not able to recall exact date. Will post images of Africa Summit as soon as I get time

Got the The India-African Forum Summit coin finally!!!  ;D
The packing is not as expected. Looks like Kolkata Mint is cutting corners in the quality of packing material.

Congrats.

As expected, the complex design has not made well to the coin.

The rs 10 coin looks flat with almost zero design details

I completely agree, in my opinion the Indian Mint could do a better job with the struck of the coins, and alao with the delivering process...

The design is very complicated as it consists of four overlapping elements:

(a) Map of India
(b) Map of Africa
(c) Image of Lion head
(d) A diamond

It is very difficult to mint such design in single colour. I am posting the image of my Rs 10 coin. As you can see its not flat.

Agreed, this would be amongst the most challenging design to create ...
I still feel the Mint Master could have worked some magic with say Frost/Mirror finish or something else to elevate / hide some features to provide better distinction. But yes its easier for me to type on a keyboard and it would be extremely difficult for Mint master  ;D

Finally bought proof set of this coin. Though premium is little high I'm satisfied to get this coin. Even couldn't wait for July coin fair.
Best Wishes,
Kishore
