As far as I know, there are only five known which the following web site confirms.

Fakes can be found quickly on Ebay.

So most likely, the one you posted was not made by the US Mint.

I am still not clear what you are asking since you posted a 1913 Liberty V nickel and you asked if it was original.

Can you please elborate of what you are trying to find out?

The five were struck by the US Mint.

They never been declared illegal to own by the US government.

So in my book, these are real coins.

Nickels in 1912 does not have:

- the arcuate cavity between the rim and the "denticles";
- Protruding the fragments between the "denticles".

And "Olsen" has the same signs of lack of authenticity.

For comparison, I demonstrate two genuine five-cent coins of 1912, in which:

- there is no metal between the "denticles";
- there is no crevice between the edging and the "denticles".

Speaking of a fake...really fake. I call this a poor-man's 1913. Obviously, not meant to deceive anyone but a fun "example" nevertheless. :)

That is about as clear as mudd.  Those are interesting picutres though with the circles and arrows.  You just need the paragraph on the back of each side.  They can explain the incoming route, and the getaway... ie (Arlo Guthrie)
