Why 1921 4 Anna is so costly? I purchased this coin some days back, looking for an additional info on this..

It's a scarce date... I got one a few years ago at a local coin show... most of the ones I've seen are pretty beat up (including mine) or scrubbed clean  :)

I bought my first 1921 4 annas at a rather high price. However, over the next few years, managed to acquire a few more at very reasonably, even low, prices. I would say that this is a scarce coin, not rare, but inflated demand is driving the prices up. However, I would agree that excellent grades (XF or higher for this coin) can command higher prices.
Defending this hobby against a disapproving family since 1998.
