Madhu and her husband, Subhash are full time lets to editor writers. Their name appears in Limca book of Indian Records.

They demand everything without knowing A B C  ....... of logistics involved.

:D :D :D

But I agree with her last suggestion (see last paragraph). It makes sense but it won't happen....

Well who knows Mints may actually take this idea seriously and replace the Silver with Ordinary metal and package and sell the coins. If more people buy mints anyway make more money ... Hyderabad mint is already doing single coins at fancy price. No the price of coin is Rs 5. The remaining 295 is for the package  ;D ;D ;D

Do you think banks would do it for free?

Definitely not I would think.
Banks are not even keen to distribute definitive coins and RBI has special designated bank branches to dole out the coins. So its a tough ask. Even the coin vending machine that SBI put in is only in handful of places, its a cost. The last statistics I knew was the minute a person walks into a Branch, it costs around Rs 165. So there is no way they can make money from this.

Reviving this thread. As already indicated by others on separate thread, dispatch of coins have begun.

I got my sets. Fantastic strike quality for Kolkata mint.
Horrible glue problem. It has damaged the inner cover. Really sad.

Why not write to them, telling about the problem? If they are wise enough, they will at least try to improve next time...
