Sri Krishna Ra Ja copper coin
« on: May 28, 2015, 03:39:16 PM »
I found this coin in ebay. Titled as Vijayanagar Feudatory coin. But when I searched internet for any information on this coin, nothing was available. Information on similar coin in gold is available, which was issued by Krishna Raja Wodeyar of Mysore.

Just want to know whether this kind of copper coin has been cataloged by anyone or someone is trying to con the coin collectors by creating their own coins?

Thanks and regards.

Its a fake coin. The real coin with similar design is made of gold and is called a Pagoda. Here is an example from my collection.

Hello Mr.Bhushan,

Thanks a lot for your reply. I also suspected as the coin is well struck and does not look like one issued before a century.
