1901 Half Tanga, Portuguese India, KM#16.
Obv: Carlos I Rei De Portugal ( Carlos I King of Portugal) MCMIII (1903). Head of Carlos I facing right.
Rev: India Portugueza with crowned shield

The specimen below shows pristine chocolate brown surfaces with hints of red. This coin completes my date collection for this type. I am glad I was able to acquire both the coins of this set in this state of preservation.

Here is the 1903 1/2 Tanga which I have posted here before.

Thanks
Bhushan

Thanks a lot! A very good observation on Carlo's hair. Most of the coins I have seen are either weakly stuck in this area or the circulated ones show the most wear. I am yet to see a 1903 1/2 tanga showing full details in Carlos's hair.

Very nice coins in excellent conditions.

Anjan

Thanks for appreciating them.

Nice coin Bhushan! I am still looking for a 1903 1/2 Tanga in UNC. I will probably have to wait for a long time it seems.
