Cyprus €5 (2015): Göttin Aphrodite.

Does this coin qualify for this theme? ;)

It is our choices...that show what we truly are, far more than our abilities. -J. K. Rowling.

Figleaf

I think it does. Reminds me of Barbie. No private parts. :)

A Royal Mint document gives the top design the title: "The Peaceful Brothers", without any explanation.

Presumably that is the title of a traditional Bhutanese tale. Does anybody know the gist of it?

Yes.
Very famous Jataka or Budhist folk tale.

Thank you, Pabitra. The design did remind me of the Town Musicians of Bremen tale by the Brothers Grimm.

Tiny bit uncomfortable with the title of this topic.  In an Equal Opportunities course I did once (well, 27 years ago), we were told you should NEVER say "the disabled".  At the time, the correct terminology was "disabled people" but I think it's now "people with disabilities".

Having a very official stamped and sealed document from the appropriate and authorised French medical authorities giving me the right to park in places reserved for invalids, I think I am entitled to tell you that a) "invalids" go from relatively light physical disabilities and mental problems to being unable to move without help or being unaware of oneself, so they are a pretty heterogenous group and b) they don't care how you call them as a group, but they do care if you park in a place reserved for them. ;)

I changed the title of the topic to reflect the terminology used for this coin series at the time: International Year of Disabled Persons - abbreviated to IYDP.
