Type doesn't appear to be in Tye, I can make out Sultan on rev & on obv it looks like zabul? or something ending in bl ??    2.50g

Sorry, no immediate recognition from me. Tried to read the reverse as many other possibilities for often occurring short words like  Adl and Maliki, but doesnt fit as good as your Zabul option. However, i have never heard of Zabul as a mint'.
From the type, it could also be from more west, like Ayyubid ?

My guess is similar - Mamluq - no time to trawl Balog though................

I think that's right, Stan Goron replied on Fb : Could be a fals of the Mamluk ruler Sha'ban II (al-Ashraf Nasir al-Din ).
