The small letters PM below the portrait are for Percy Metcalfe. There is a thread on his work here.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.



This beautiful palm tree design was first issued with the date 1913.

I checked the Royal Mint Annual Reports but they do not give the name of the designer.

I asked the Royal Mint, but sadly they hold no data on this.

Does anybody know which Royal Mint engravers were active in 1913?
