Greece: Two 2 Commemorative Coins in 2015

Central Bank of Greece plans to issue two 2 commemorative coins in 2015:

1. 75th anniversary of the 28th October 1940: Mintage: Max. 741,000 (UNC)+ Max. 7500 (BU) + Max. 1500 (Proof);

2. 30th anniversary of the European flag: Mintage: Max. 741,000 (UNC)+ Max. 7500 (BU) + Max. 1500 (Proof).

With these coins, can we expect the 10th member to join the old Common Market in 1981 to stay in the European Union and keep the euro?

That is what the Greek government intends to do. As for the political aspects, please discuss them in this topic if you want to. :)

Bank of Greece still plans to issue these coins ;); but no clear answer on issue date yet. Mintage volumes etc remain the same. Design of the first 2 commemorative (75th anniversary of the 28th October 1940) is not known yet but both the coins are (or will be) designed by G. Stamatopoulos.

Theme for first (in fact second if we consider the EU Flag issue) Greek 2 commemorative for 2015 is now known: Olympic runner Spiridon Spyridon Louis who won the first marathon of the modern Olympic era.

There won't be any '75th anniversary of the 28th October 1940' 2 commemorative coin as reported earlier.
