Leuchtturm Euro Catalog

I'm planning to buy the Leuchtturm Euro Catalog, 2015 Edition. I already have the 2013 edition (in German though, received on the December 31, 2013) and I find it pretty good. Most of the information is understandable even if in German. Pricing doesn't seem convincing though. Paper and picture quality is excellent. Printed price is €9.95, however I paid only €5 for it (+Shipping extra but not much) I guess it's a good idea to upgrade to the latest edition available with issues up to 2014 listed.

Any other suggestions for other euro catalogs available in the market?

I have a couple German language catalogs and can understand them well enough. Being a coin collector is often a good motivator to learn even like me at age 60 

I learn lots of stuff every day but won't know it tomorrow. lol

In Germany the Euro-Münzkatalog of Gerhard Schön is the standard catalogue.

Yes, that is what I use too. Oddly enough, there is also Michael K. Sonntag's catalog "Die Euro-Münzen" ... from the very same publishing house. And people who focus on commemorative €2 coins may be interested in Mario Kamphoff's "Die 2-Euro-Münzen". There are also the Michel catalogs, but I think they are not updated that often ...

Euro-Münzkatalog is a good suggestion but I believe that it's available only in German? Don't mind getting it though, I'll search it on eBay US.

They should have offered it in pdf version too, shipping for a book with 1200+ pages is NOT going to be cheap!

Yes, those German catalogs are in, umm, German.   Not sure whether there would be a market for bilingual/multilingual catalogs of that kind, and how they would be distributed and sold. As for PDF (and HTML), we also have options such as these:

Neither of the two is "totally complete" but for me especially Miguel's PDF catalog is quite helpful. Now the size and weight of Gerhard Schön's euro catalog, yes, it gets thicker and thicker every year. Blame issuers such as the Monnaie de Paris, hehe. Then again, it is still "paperback" sized. The 2014 edition that I have is 12.5 x 19 cm, and the 1150 pages add up to almost 4.5 cm ...

I already have Miguel Ángel's catalog on my PC (I just noticed that the file is not opening, some serious error occured ). It is indeed a very good catalog but it doesn't cover collector coins. That's why I'm looking for another catalog which covers all the euro coins!

Do you mean you want a pdf file of Leuchtturm Euro Catalog? I don't think they issue it in soft form, only hard copies published. I have the 2013 edition in German (so all coins till 2012 are listed) and I'm pretty happy with it. I may get the 2015 edition later this month (would prefer English version this time ). The catalog itself is not expensive (€9.95 I guess) but it's quite heavy and postage probably becomes more expensive than cost of book itself.

Upgraded my Leuchtturm euro catalog for 2015. (This time, English version!) I have just got it and I'm still to go through it; but my preliminary observations are that nice and larger images and better representation. The catalog also lists (but no valuation) all the (declared) 2015 commemorative/collector coins with images wherever they are available.

Also had a quick glance on valuation part and I'm not much convinced. Many of the coins are far overpriced; in some cases, twice as much of actual market price!

Anyway, it's a nice purchase for €5.99 (price printed on catalog is €9.95, postage extra).
