F26, 50 RUPEE NOTE, YV REDDY, L Inset, No year
« on: October 29, 2014, 07:25:35 PM »
Hi,

Can anyone shed more light on this particular 50 rupee note of YV Reddy being so expensive?  Is it due to the fact that no year was printed on these notes.

Thanks.

There is no reason why something is expensive  :) Its just a question of demand and supply.

Just to make sense the both the F Inset and the L inset were printed in less quantities [Lesser number of prefixes seen] and potentially got distributed to remote villages. Hence the bundles available with dealers in Mumbai / Metros is less driving up the price.
