Coin commemorates Habs' 100th anniversary

Coaching isn't the only change rattling around Montreal these days.

A new $1 circulation coin from the Royal Canadian Mint, celebrating the Montreal Canadiens' 100th anniversary, will also be rattling around pockets beginning on Wednesday.

The coin, which will be unveiled late Tuesday, will be exclusively distributed by Metro grocery stores across Quebec.

The Mint will also unveil on Tuesday a limited-edition Montreal Canadiens centennial proof silver dollar, which is enhanced with gold plating.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Yup, ice hockey. For some reason the Canadians just call it hockey. :)
