Azam Shah. Rupee Mint: Surat. AH 1119 RY Ahd
« on: December 16, 2014, 09:30:41 AM »
On the death of Aurangzeb, his sons - all of them, laid claim to the throne. Azam Shah was one of them who was in the south ans moved to the north to lay claim to the throne at Dehli.

His issues of Surat are scarcer to find than the issues from the Southern Mints.

Congratulations on yet another coin of historical value from the mine. May there be many more.
