Newcastle, but which one?

These two tokens are representative of two series I have, all with the same text, for bread or milk. Some of these were sold to me as British, others as Canadian or Australian. I don't think they are Canadian, as co-ops were politically incorrect in Canada and I have doubts about them being British, but I have no proof. Does anyone want to comment?
