In the context of this project, a nickel in your class jar would actually be despised. ;) Nice story!

Too bad, by the way, that Perham, MN is fairly far away from from Concord, MA ... The kids could probably pick some more pennies up there. Pennies that some stores now refuse to accept.  http://cbs5.com/business/pennies.penny.ban.2.931453.html  As the comment says (more in the video), the Lincoln year is probably a bad time to think about phasing the Lincoln cent out.
