Postage stamps were issued on Begum Akhtar few years back. However it was withdrawn later and it generated some controversy. Due to withdrawal, the stamp is considered scarce.

In 1994, the Begum Akhtar Stamps, and the Waterbirds stamps, were issued and the printing ink used was water soluble ink. hence, immediately they were withdrawn from circulation.
