Golden Medal Gum
« on: September 24, 2014, 03:39:29 PM »
There have been a few references around the site for these.
Perhaps, they deserve their own space?  ;)
25mm
4.86g
The top row are 'Big bubbles' on the other side - bubble extends to M in GUM and to the mouth.  They are medal aligned.
The bottom two rows 'Small bubbles'  on the other side  - bubble extends to G in GUM. They are not medal aligned.

I have a only a couple of these, they not my favourites but I do like the boys face that has that 'eyes popping' view when blowing a bubble.

Hello everyone,
Wondered whether you lovely people can help.

We have probably all seen the Golden Medal Gum Tokens with the flat-capped boy on one side blowing a huge bubble whilst on the reverse side one of 30 plus various sports.

I am trying to compile a piece of work on these tokens and want to make sure that I have a full “working set” so if you have any you could “donate” or allow me to purchase from you, then I would be extremely grateful.

Regards. Simon

See post above for varieties.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
