The answer is yes and the next question is what and the answer to that I don't know, but instinctively, I would look for an explanation that means "1 oz", since these klunkies were used as weights in shops.

I read it as I.H in a serrated indent.

Most are unknown. Here are the I.H. ones listed in Scott where nothing fits precisely; the last two are nearest but occur in a serrated rectangular indent.


We need a board for these counter-marked pieces to aid locating in the future. I have just recently been searching for a recent silver counter-marked french coin.
