Possible New Issue: Jawahar Lal Nehru 50th Death Anniversary

There was some discussion on coin on 50th death anniversary of J L Nehru.

Does any one think that it may be accepted?

He was the first Prime Minister of India and his death was the reason for the first commem coins of India.

Members may give their comments.

Can it be 50 years of commem coins of India?

I guess if Congress Party would have won they may able to achieve their demand for release of  the new coin of this theme.

But now I'm not sure ,  moreover in politics any thing can happen

There are already 2 sets of Coins issued on Nehru. So, I don't feel that there is any need to issue the coins again on Nehru.

I think 125th Birth Anniversary of Nehru would have been more appropriate. He was born in 1889 so 2014 is his 125th anniversary. However since the Congress party has lost the election and Nehru belonged to Congress party, I don't think we will see a new issue on him.
