Bahmani Sultans, Shams al-Din Muhammad Shah. Unfortunately, my catalog doesn't list the weight for these, so I'm not sure about denomination (1/3 Gani?).

Some rulers kept the same legend and same size calligraphy for large denominations as for small ones. The smaller the coin, the less of the legend on the coin. The legend is a long one and includes "he who relies on God".  Muhammad Shah's father had "He who confides in God".  His grandfather had "He who trusts in God".  I wonder if these distinctions were significant or not? On this coin though, the motto seems to be off the flan. The coin is a one-third Gani, BH 117 in G & G.
