I picked up this coin yesterday.

They are well known issues and most of the Indian Coin Collectors already had these coins.

I hadn't seen it yet. However, my efforts are on getting some more of the small varieties that KM discovered a few years back (the ones with numbers like x.1, x.2a and worse).

Why is it that this 5Rs coin is not listed in the Standard Catalog? The one which I used was the one on-line and includes coins up to 2008. If I'm wrong, can you supply me with the Km number?

  Is there an actual online version of Krause as opposed to http://www.numismaster.com ?

There's a lot of coins & medal-coins that are missing from being listed from both the 20th. & 21st. Century Krause catalogues.I've tried to report things for listing,especially the $1,000,000 gold Maple Leaf (which still isn't even listed),but nothing has been changed.

Eventually,I will be able to do so,hopefully,in a few months time.

  Quite a few chapters in Krause,including 'Unusual World Coins' are very badly written & compiled.Some of them are in total need of renumbering.

In the case of 'Unusual World Coins',there's a lot of stuff in there that shouldn't even be listed in a catalogue at all,& should be cut from the listings.The chapter in relation to the Principality of Hutt River needs to be totally renumbered,especially with the 'Desert Storm' & 'Fathers of Baseball' commemorative medal-coins.

Aidan, this was issued to comemorate the occasion of 50 years of the establishment of KHADI AND VILLAGE INDUSTRIES COMISSION in 2007. This is an issue of the Mumbai Mint.

These unlisted coins goes to prove why a high quality world numismatic photo gallery along similar lines to http://www.zeno.ru is needed.

In effect,it would be the numismatic community itself teaching the cataloguers a few new things,or in the case of the team at Krause Publications,getting them to see the errors of their ways.
