Cyprus: 1980 BU Set

This is perhaps the cheapest way of packaging BU coins. ;) I quite like the idea of simple packaging, no unnecessary fuss about packaging material, mintage etc etc. I'm sure no mint will even dare to issue BU sets in similar fashion today! :D

Another fine set. Like the 1955 set under the British, it was designed by William Gardner.



If you look at some of the coins of the 1955 set, you can see that the 100 mils design has been transferred to the 1980 5 mils coin, while the other designs are new.

Even that is better than the Dutch euro packaging recently.....
always willing to trade modern UK coins for modern coins from elsewhere....
