Nomination: Animals on Indian coins
« on: March 10, 2014, 07:40:54 PM »
The following article by  'mitresh' traces the use of animals on coins through various periods and kingdoms in Indian history. It's clear, concise and well illustrated .

I would like to nominate this article as an early entry for Best of WoC 2014

Thank you, Joseph. The article is included in the 2014 poll. This nomination highlights that ANYONE can nominate an article here.

If I may add a personal note: great article! Make sure you read it.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
