In spite of the enthusiasm displayed in this thread, little has become of the boards. All nominations have come from me. There is no reason why others should not nominate threads. The restriction that illustrations should be properly sourced has not been an issue with the people I have nominated and I still think it is quite proper for the ambition of the board.

However, what bothers me more is that practically no one has voted. Please realise that those whose articles were nominated have made a special effort to give you coin magazine or better quality articles. This site is full of "thank you" posts, so why not also make the smaller effort of recognising good research with a vote? It only takes one click...

Read the above discussion on what should count when you vote, please and remember that you can change your vote in the course of the year.

So far, 6 out of 2300 members voted. Come on, we can do much better than that! Authors, lobby! Members, show your appreciation. Don't just sit there, vote something. You can't complain about lack of quality and it takes only one click.

Voting method is not clear to me. I prefer a thread where all nominations will be in list with hyperlink. Next to specific title there could be a check mark to vote. Individual votes will be added to a database which will give the count. Voters should be unanimous.

Unfortunately, the software offers only one way to vote, but the contents of the board are the list you want and the threads contain the link you want.

I don't usually pontificate on new moderators, but this one is special (and I may do it again soon :)). FosseWay has agreed to be moderator of the "Best of World of Coins" boards. Why is that special? Because he is a pro editor. He does this all day for a living and when he's finished ... he does some more voluntarily for World of Coins.

This means that winners will get a special service from World of Coins: the knowledge and experience of a professional editor applied to their work. Their articles will look even more polished and stylish. If your first language isn't English, you can be assured that your article is in good English. Thank you, FosseWay!

There are still a few hours left to vote. You can still add a second vote if you wish. Tell the top authors of "World of Coins" you appreciate their effort. They deserve it.

I don't see any way of adding a second vote.
