This coin is 3.1 grams and 11 mm across.  On the obverse is a deity (Vishnu?) and on the reverse is a lingum on a platform.

Overlord

I would have happily posted it as "Unknown coin with Liberty Eagle and Noah's Ark"  :D

Dear Richie,
No frog, no parasol, nor boat like figure!!
It's a AE Kasu of the Rajas of Sivaganga (c. 1764 - end 18th cent.). On the obverse you see Ganesh seated on a rat or mouse (the vehicle of Ganesh). Reverse a garlanded lingam on altar.
Ref.: Mitchiner: The Coinage and history of southern India, part two; Tamilnadu - Kerala #1078.

2. A photo of a garlanded Lingam

Thanks Oesho
I think that  story of some blind men and an elephant is repeated  again here.

Yes, NOW I can see the trunk!  Your example is superb Oesho.  Thanks for the description of the reverse.
The photo of the garlanded lingam really brings everything into focus.

As for your story Shariq, I couldn't agree more.
