Strugglers, you mean? >:D  My guesses this time are about as good as Aditya's ... and then I read about fellow members who got not just five or eight but ALL TEN right. This is so frustrating, boo hoo etc.

Christian

(PS: This actually is a great contest. But ... oh, just let me weep and lament.)

Strugglers,  ...to coin a phrase!  ;D

We should have thrown in a token or two to narrow the odds!

OK - draw time ...

I have five correct sets of 10 answers
Prosit - Afrasi - Bart - SpaBreda - Square Earth

Chrisild - would you kindly allocate each of the members above a number 1 to 5 please.
(keep them to yourself for the moment)

Answers -
1 Madagascar 1 Franc 1948/58 KM#3
2 East Caribbean States 5 cents 2000 onwards KM# 36
3 Taiwan 2 Chiao 1950 Y# 534
4 Afghanistan 25 Pul 1952 KM #945
5 Laos 50 kip 1980 KM #24
6 Djibouti 1 franc 1977/96 KM # 20
7 Indonesia 25 Sen 1952 KM# 8
8 St Pierre and Miquelon 1 Franc 1948 KM#1
9 Cambodia 10 Sen 1959 KM# 54
10 Spain 2 Pesetas 1984 KM# 822

No.2 posed the most problems despite - everyone thought it was the older type, rather than the more modern round one!

Andrew didn't reveal the most important hint yet: the motto

1 Madagascar 1 Franc 1948/58 KM#3
2 East Caribbean States 5 cents 2000 onwards KM# 36
3 Taiwan 2 Chiao 1950 Y# 534
4 Afghanistan 25 Pul 1952 KM #945
5 Laos 50 kip 1980 KM #24
6 Djibouti 1 franc 1977/96 KM # 20
7 Indonesia 25 Sen 1952 KM# 8
8 St Pierre and Miquelon 1 Franc 1948 KM#1
9 Cambodia 10 Sen 1959 KM# 54
10 Spain 2 Pesetas 1984 KM# 822

So the motto this year is: Metal Discs

Here we go! Enjoy your prizes, you winners did a great job. And that applies to the creator of the puzzle as well. (Andy, part of the secret allocation agreement was that you will make it a little easier next time, did I get that right? ;) )
