CAN ANYONE SUGGEST A GOOD BOOK TO LEARN PERSIAN/URDU?
« on: August 02, 2013, 11:13:03 AM »
Learning how to read Persian is very high on my priority list.

But where to start is the Big question.

Can someone suggest me a good Book, which teaches how to learn to read Persian?

I would prefer an English to Persian book, but can also do with Hindi to Persian.

It is really necessary to learn Persian but Urdu will give you a good start. there are some rather excellent online facilities with print your lesson format. Some of these are very good.

A very small book called "The Writing System of Modern Persian" by Paper and Jazayery is an interesting rote learning tool.
