The issue is likely to follow Thailand model where 10 Baht is bimetallic and circulating whereas 20 Baht is regularly issued, is Copper Nickel and available in plenty from the mint shop. We have some member from Thailand. Can he kindly explain this model?

In Thailand, 10 baht bim coin is for both circulation and commemoration while 20 baht coin is commemorative coin only.
But before bim, 10 baht was commemorative coin only too.
Some of you may knew that 10 baht nickel and cupronickel comm coins & 20 baht cupronickel comm coin share the same size and weight.
All commemorative coins in base-metal can get from Monetary Management shop at their face value, by the regulation. But some older issues will be transferred to National Grand Treasure shop which will be sold over their face value.

Technically, 20 baht coins are legal tender. Practically, with the size, on one is carrying it around. (Have to ask the Aussie what they think about their 50 cent coin.)
Some people don't even know that we have 20 baht coin. So you're not going to find them in circulation.

Brilliant info-graphic, Adam.
Thanks a lot.

Inflation does not appear to have come to Thailand. They appear to be having more or less same specification coins for quite a long period, unlike their South Asian neighbors. On either side, Myanmar, Laos, Vietnam and Kampuchea appear to have become coin-less.

2 Baht coin, which has seen late introduction, seem to have undergone a few transitions.
