same as all the other big coins issued over the last few years

Sorry Oracle Bhai

The weight and diameter of Rs 60 coin is less than the other high denomination coins.
Usually 35gm 44mm QA blank is used for Rs 75 - Rs 150.
For 60 Years of Kolkata Mint, 22.5g blank will be used  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D

dheer

Humm ... that explains why the coins are relatively priced less  :) :)

and for vaishodevi 25 rs coins?  so you are saying the mint will now be using a smaller diam for their 60 rs coin then they did for their rs 50 coin?

the mint has not mentioned any weight change in their ad.  i am sure they could get into trouble for malpractice.

Perils of inflation Oracle bhai.  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D  ;D
Aap toh sirf diameter ki baat kar rahe ho. In earlier times, you could get couple of gold mohurs for princely sum of Rs 60.

It seems from the form that they offer both proof and unc sets.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Yes, for all the Coins, both Proof and UNC sets are issued by Mumbai and Kolkata Mints.

If you already have the Proof and UNC sets from the earlier issues, you don't need to buy these sets, unless you are a variety collector for all the Proof and UNC Sets.

But if you missed on the earlier issues, and if you want to have these sets in your collection, then you don't have a choice. Even if they cost around 10K per set, they are still much cheaper than the price of RS. 40-50K for the originally issued sets.

The Sant Tukaram & Mookerjee in first strike UNC was only 3 coin set Rs 100, 50 & 10.
However the restrike says all 4 coins.
So not very sure what it will turn up like ...
