Mughals, Nur-ud-din Mohammed Jahangir, Silver Rupee, 11.26g, Qandhar mint, RY 10, Azar month, KM 145.13



Obverse: Nur-ud-din Jahangir Shah (ibn) Akbar Shah

Reverse: Mah i-Azar i-Ilahi, Zarb Kandahar, Sana xx, Hijri xxxx

Please help in correct attribution of Ilahi & AH Year on the coin.

Mitresh, a very nice looking coin. I believe it looks better in hand than the picture posted. I am not sure this can be attributed as an illahi dated coin. Just looking at the coin not referring to the catalog I can see an RY 10. The Hijri date is not visible on the coin. The month might be Amardad but I will let others confirm that.

Which coin type do you think my specimen fits best as per KM? I had looked at the specimen below for comparison.

Is the RY date 10 with no AH date on the coin?

Yes. The RY is 10. The AH date is on the bottom margin below the mint name which is mostly of the flan for this type. It would be nice to find this type of coin with both the dates.
