Tariq has some studies that are required and might miss the whole show. He is rather unhappy about that.

This may be the largest WoC gathering ever. Have fun, gentlemen!

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

Yes have fun. After a number of false starts I will be in India with Dr Bruce Kaiser and others discussing XRF technology and demonstrating the technology. The trip is currently planned for late August early September. I am not sure why they wish to travel then, loI. I will be available to discuss our work and to deliver a number of papers if required outside the planned work. Shortly an extension project based on Mughal copper coins will be announced. Rather exciting if it works.

Good choice of words   ;) ... Yes pics would be nice if it happens and to put faces to names. In Bombay, the single largest meeting involved 5 of us I think

I will be there on 15th and 16th for most of the day.

Here is my photo, so that we can recognise when we meet each other.

Abhay

Great photo. But thought you of a bit older but slimmer :P

Figleaf

This may be a superfluous suggestion, but just in case ...

Why not weigh yourself down with some trading material for when you are having tea? Your fellow WoC members will appreciate the opportunity to come back, like you, with more new coins and less duplicates. Also, watch the reactions of the waiter to some centuries-old coins ... :)

That is an excellent suggestion Figleaf. If we can decide on a common time for the tea, we can adjust our schedule for the visit accordingly.

Also, I was planning to carry some coins for which I would need identification assistance.
