I now have the Italian piece from Trieste; can anyone confirm the legend on the ribbon that I read as "L'Disques Pathe cantare senza punti' ?

It's too small to read directly - e-mail me a larger pic direct if you like.  Grammatically it would have to be something like "I dischi Pathe cantano senza punta".

This site omits the initial article "I":

del discobolo è "DISCHI PATHE CANTANO SENZA PUNTA" 2/ nel 1913 la Pathé era già ampiamente presente a Milano (oltre che in mezzo mondo...vedi "Case ...

Congratulations. I think that leaves only Budapest and Hamburg - if they exist. As KM would put it: reported, not confirmed.

The Budapest one is here and I have seen the Hamburg piece offered but sold.

This thread has become a delight! I have never seen so many of these tokens together. Bravo Malcolm.

I love the thrill of the chase, its a delightful collecting theme and there are yet more to discover. When not wearing my coin collector hat I am keen on early gramophones and the very old records.

I have both the Hamburg and Torino ones winging their way to me as we speak.

Have yet to find Amsterdam and Budapest. But goodness know what else is out there.  Perhaps others from the Netherlands?

These Italian types are a great surprise! That last one is Milano.Torino.Napoli.Bologna.Firenze. I also have the first two named; so perhaps there is also a Napoli; Bologna; Firenze individually as well?

Then too I am keen to find the earliest piece, see the Pathe cock in Reply #24

All in all a great learning curve!
