Hi guys, haven't post for quite a long time, busy, blahblah

Anyhow, just figured out a thing that I'd like to share with collectors by type.

Bavarian 1 kreutzer KM#858 (prev. 473) is absolutely the same as #873 (prev. 487). Even the knots in wreath. It happened to be separated only because of the different ruler. So, it's the type minted 1858-1871, just as 1 and 2 pfenning copper pieces, which are not separated. 3 and 6 kreuzer of the same type were only minted a couple of years in mid 60s, so no problems there.

That phenomenon occurs occasionally in KM. I've noticed it with other German states as well. I suspect it's a relic from the information KM originally used for the coins in question, which may well have been filed first by reign rather than by denomination. It's not nearly as widespread in KM as in some catalogues though -- for example, all the Guernsey coppers issued between the 1860s and 1940s are substantially the same, with one significant design change to the shield side in around 1911 IIRC, yet in Seaby they're divided by reign and given different numbers.
