China Ching dynasty, another unidentifies coin

Hi,

the obverse is clearly (for me) a S-1464, km387.1, but for the reverse I cannot find any correspondance, it looks like a mixture of a s-1464 and a s-1466....

The reverse hss the standard mintmark for the Board of Revenue Mint in Peking. This coin was issued in the middle or later part of the reign of Emperor Ch'ien Lung (1736-1795). Because he ruled for 60 years, most of his coins are very common. The Ch'ien Lung Board of Revenue coin is the most common Chinese cash of all. It was the largest cash mint in China and turned out something like 500 million coins a year. The two mints in Peking (Board of Works and Board of Revenue) together produced over one billion coins per year. -- Bruce W. Smith
