Getting it encapsulated from a grading service would cost more than the coin did itself and in my opinion, that is stupid.

I share your opinion of professional grading.  Unless you are trying to resell, where it may help.  Best idea, imo, is to keep in 2x2 mylar holder.

I am out of 2x2 holders and I don't know how to detect if there is any PVC in the ones available in the market.

It would be great if someone could give a few tips on how to detect if the plastic contains PVC.

The text had no remarkable results. I am conducting the test again but I first want to know whether I should burn the entire holder or should I scrape the plastic sheet and burn only that?

Also, which background color do you think would make the observation easier?
