We had a look at two coins from Maler Kotla before.
This one appears to be different, but I have had a heck of time identifying it.  It was labeled as being from Patiala, but is it?

And here's another coin from the same region; is it from Maler Kotla or Patiala?

Oesho

The last one is definitely Maler Kotla and the first one probably to. Of the coins of Maler Kotla in the name of Nawab Ahmad Ali Khan there are a large number of varieties. The coins were in the beginning of quite good silver, but I have seen many later issues, which were much debased with a brassy shine.

Thank you so much Oesho.  Depending on the Standard Catalog, or on the descriptions given by dealers, I would be quite lost.  I'll begin a file on Maler Kotla rupees.  Perhaps I should continue on the assumption that when in doubt, it is quite possibly from Maler Kotla.
