The coins of Tranquebar is an intriguing series. The best reference for this series is the book by Uno Barner Jensen: Danish East India, Trade Coins and the Coins of Tranquebar 1620-1845 (Brovst 1997).
Uno Barner Jensen unfortunately passed away a few years ago, but his publication remains the best guide and the coins in my collection are listed according to his numbering. The interesting series started by Quant.Geek was my motive to add the images of the similar coins from my own collection.
This is the first coin (UBJ 47/KM 30), the rest will follow in due course.

Thanks Oesho!  Your coin is brilliant as usual.  Extremely difficult to get well-preserved coins.  I'll see if I can pick up Jensen's book.  I vaguely remember Jensen having a website with all his Tranquebar coins.  I hope others follow Oesho's example and post their pictures.

Cheers,

Ram

That's magnificent, Oesho. Thanks!

Having seen a very few of the Danish India coins, I think both are exceptional quality. These pictures will greatly help those with lesser quality, but well appreciated specimen.

Such special coins are seldomly  appearing now a days .

I couldn't recall such well preserved stuff available for auctions , or an ebay  since  last one decade.

Right time with right opportunity is result of such splendid  collection.

Cheers ;D
