Germany 10 DM (2000) commemorating Expo 2000 in Hanover.

Technical Details of the coin: 33 mm, 15.5 g, 925/1000 Silver. Edge: WELTAUSSTELLUNG EXPO 2000 HANNOVER. The NumisBlatter also has 10 x 1 DM (cancelled) stamps. Issued on January 13, 2000 by Deutsche Post. Issue Price: 29.50 DM (~ €15.10)

This is my first pre euro NumisBlatter from Germany and I quite like it. :)

Here are couple of images:

Sh-sh. I do not like to be reminded of that coin. ;D  Partly because the Expo 2000 tickets were very expensive (no wonder that fewer people than expected visited the expo), but primarily because I have never been fond of the coin design. I had expected something something more modern, and I did not appreciate the fact that you have to look at the edge to know what the piece is actually about.

Agreed, the design somewhat strange. I'm not a fond of showing logos on coins but they could have used on this particular coin at-least to make people understand what it actually commemorates...The logo is not great either...
