Hi To All,
              Sir I want to know the approx. value of 1/4 Re.1878 Victoria Empress.According to Pridmore its mintage is 44240 only. Is it one of the rarest coins of British India?Is it the least minted coin in the British period. Please tell me?

Pridmore does not estimate prices, it merely lists the coins.  For value in INR, multiply above figures by ~53.  You can also refer to prices realized in auction houses.  google todyauction, oswal antique.

Please don't go by the figures in the catalog since they are not updated for sometime. The market price for these is in multiples of the book value. I would buy these for 3-4 times the catalog and still get a great deal!

I do not really know what the market is for these in India and so cannot comment on the prices. Sorry this is not much of a help to you.
