Mexico. New $100 coin series. Numismatic Heritage.
« on: October 31, 2012, 12:40:30 PM »
Hi friends!

Today, Banxico informed that the first issue of "Numismatic Heritage" series $100 coins were launched to circulation. The coins are bimetallic, with AlBr ring and Sterling Silver center. I don't know if this issue is only in proof quality or is also destined for general circulation. I think that the value of silver grams used used in the coin is bigger than the face value. The coins are dated in 2011.

Nice coin! I doubt if it will be made available for face value but you never know. ;)

Seems that 'Numismatic Heritage' is becoming a popular theme for coins now a days. Portugal already has issued three coins (€1.5, €7.5 and €5) and now Mexico..Not complaining though. :)

A little bit of mark is always there, but worth for this coin!
Thx
