I am happy with its good execution. Not a cast item. Design is fine. Larger flan. What is it actually? A replica? A modern one? What could be its objective?

Thank you, Tariq. I note that this piece does not have a rosette to the left of Fazl. Therefore it is not imitating a gold mohur, but a silver rupee. It has the correct text on both sides, without the giveaway address of a jeweller or metal trader.

However, the pearl border is all wrong and the protective edge is missing.

The objective of this piece seems to be to deceive, rather than to be used for decoration.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.

But how to deceive with a much larger flan? It has copper oxidation and seems not modern. It is partly worn out and seems means changed hands. Good design means should have more copy as there was a die for making it. And I must agree that the thread of Tariq is good enough to understand.

Good point. I'd missed that. Including the larger flan, what comes to mind first is temple token. It seems a bit large/heavy to be used for clothes and there is no hole or eye. This is only speculation, though.
