Press release received from our member Pabitra, here paraphrased:

The Reserve Bank of India will put into circulation New Ferritic Stainless Steel (FSS) coins of Rs.5/- issued to commemorate "75 Years of Dandi March". The commemorative face of the coin shall bear the portrait of "MAHATMA GANDHI MARCHING" flanked on the upper periphery with  "75 YEARS OF DANDI MARCH" in Hindi (left) and English (right). Below will be 1930-2005.

I encourage you to follow the link for more information on the March.

I think the days of commemorative paisa coins (1, 2, 3, 5, 10, 20, 25 and even 50) are over.  I recently decided to collect commemorative 1, 2 and then 5 rupee coins, but I will do so with decreasing enthusiasm as the commemorative turn out increases. I suspect that I will always be tempted to acquire the coins of Saints, those in which the designs are commendable, and the coins which generate controversy.

Judging from the press messages I posted here, the rupee is the smallest denomination in circulation. The 50 p coins seem in very short supply. Although the Central Bank keeps whining that there's no problem, in practice a 50 p commemorative wouldn't make much sense.

I have the coin diarrhea problem with Polish commemoratives. So far, my reaction has been, well, as long as I can get them easily and for a reasonable price I'll go with the flow. I guess they can the extra money and in the end, it doesn't really hurt me to have a long series of commemoratives, so nobody loses. It's a pretty personal decision, though.

One more thing. The Dandi march is a very significant occasion to commemorate. It had an influence that surpasses Indian history. By contrast, the Poles don't really think very long about this month's occasion.
