AASFN has recently (during RomaFil, a philatelic exhibition in Rome October 12-14) issued a new product which they call "Stamp and Coin Card". The card has a 50c coin dated 2012 and a beautiful stamp with a face value of 65c. There will be six different cards with six different stamps which show six most important monuments in San Marino (La Porta di San Francesco, la Chiesa di San Francesco, Il Palazzo del Governo, Prima la Torre, La Basilica del Santo e, la Chiesa dei Cappuccini). The stamps were issued in 2011 and are not dated.

Technical Details:

Card Dimensions: 85.55 mm x 54mm
Stamps: € 0.65 nominal value a series of "Tourist" with 2011 (Designed by Antonio Giuffrida)
Coins: € 0.50 nominal value of the issue date of 2012
Issue Price: € 4.00 (Each)
Date of issue: October 12, 2012

A sheet of above six stamps (70,000 sheets) without coin will also be issued.

As you can see from the images, these are similar to PNCs (Phila-Numismatic Covers) but with a new name and slightly different appearance.

Usually I do not collect such coin/stamp combos, but I will often have a look at the images and "compare" - especially when both the coin and the stamp are issued to commemorate some specific event.

These sets come with nice stamps too - but I wonder who designed the images. ;D The coins depicted are not current ones, not even pieces from the first series (with the "old map"), but show a design that was discarded or modified even before the very first coins were minted in 1998. Hope the actual coins will be different, hehe.

Blame Antonio Giuffrida for the blunder, not me. ;D

But yes, that's a serious mistake from AASFN. If the actual stamp and coin cards have this kind of wrong image shown, then this might be the first 'error' from San Marino. And they can't even recall all the cards back as they have already been issued..Looking at the cards again, there was no need to show the image of 50c coin as the theme of stamps is not at all coin related. But still, they did.. ::)

As if these six "stamp and coin cards" weren't enough, San Marino now has issued one more such card: this time with a €2 coin (regular €2 coin showing Government House, dated 2012) and a 65c stamp. Strange thing is that the stamp was issued in 2006/07...so basically they are back in money making business. ::)
