NGC online does not have an image for the KM264 - so I had nothing to go by. This is what they have for KM261

they have the same description for both types

IMV this is KM 261 - date is 1248/1833, large PIE and tall letter L in the Persian text inside the scales.

Did you mean to compare it with 264 btw? 264 is a mule of 261 and 230, which is essentially similar but dated 1830 or 1831 and with differences to the lion above the EIC shield. 262 is the more obvious one to compare it to -- same dates (1248/1833) but with small PIE and shorter L in Persian.

Agreed, but I have KM and don't have Pridmore, which I suspect is the case for many of us on here.

You did a great job helping Joseph with the identification. My statement was just for more added information. I was in the same boat a few months ago. Just recently acquired my books. I have found Baldwin's Coins of India website to be very helpful.

how much did u spend on both the volumes?
