Pice of Bengal Presidency with unknown countermark
« on: October 06, 2012, 07:40:47 PM »
Here I have - at least I think so - a Trisul Pice of the Bengal Presidency, Banaras Mint, KM #28. It is stamped with a - at least to me - totally unknown countermark.
Can anybody help?

22.8 mm

It looks close to this countermark, but the host coins are from very different times. Also, for fun, see this countermark, again on a host coin of a different era.

An unidentified coin is a piece of metal. An identified coin is a piece of history.
