I've just read in the excellent Spanish-language catalogue of circulating euro coins (sorry, I can't remember the author's name and it's not on the PDF) that the Irish 'copper' issues of 2008 were minted not at the Irish Mint but at Paris. However, the catalogue doesn't say whether or how these pieces differ from the Irish Mint issues. Do the Paris issues have the Paris privy marks?

The author of that excellent catalog is Miguel Angel from Spain. :)

And no, those Irish coins do not show Paris mint's mint/privy marks. In fact until today, I didn't even know that those three denominations were struck at Paris!

According to the Schön catalog, it was the 2007 coins that were minted primarily in Pessac (by the Monnaie de Paris). Other mints that have made Irish circulation coins so far are the Royal Mint (UK), the Mint of Finland (FI), and the Royal Dutch Mint (NL). And the Central Bank's mint in Sandyford (IE) of course. :)
