Are you sure it is a coin , 200 gram is a lot and 8 cm also

The images was used on the 5, 10 and i believe the 25 west african franc , but i am sure you knew that , do you have a picture of the otherside of the coin ?

Perhaps this is a medallic relation to the Central African States 1000 Francs silver coin of 2002.

It is surely no coin. The reverse is blank. Looks like a huge reverse essai with the old coin pattern of the coins squarecoinman mentioned made for the silver piece of 1000 Francs in 2002, which has a slightly different design.
While writing this Mr. Paul Baker answered and said nearly the same.
