Another beauty I received today is this dokdo from Kutch, issued during the reign of Gohandaji II (1761-1778)

lovely Bart. 
This is idle curiosity. I am reading The Enchantress of Florence by Salman Rushdie.  In it, people arrive in India via boat from Italy. Would they have likely passed through Kutch in 1600? And was Kutch a major port when this coin was minted?
